Cores

VLSI Concepts has developed a number of synthesizable processor cores. They are all written in synthesizable VHDL using fully static, synchronous design techniques.
We offer customization to your specifications.

The license fee / royalty schedule has been structured to allow VLSI Concepts' cores to be used by both small and large customers and to allow both VLSI Concepts and its licensed partners to benefit from the success of using our cores.

VLSI Concepts has 3 license models for its cores:

  1. Lifetime license: One time license fee. No royalties. Core may be used in any number of designs.
  2. Single use license: One time license fee. No royalties. Core may be used in a single design. Using the core in a second design requires an additional license fee.
  3. Royalty bearing license: Small one time license fee. Per instance royalty. Core may be used in any number of designs. Requires minimum production volume commitment.

We can design new cores! Let us know what your needs are.
